Actress, Ekwutosi Films Police Officer Who Assaulted And Allegedly “Robbed” Her In Lagos (Video)

Ekwutosi Philo

Ekwutosi Philo, the Nigerian actress recently made sure she filmed the moment police officers allegedly “assaulted” her while she was driving in Lagos State.

The actress revealed that she was going to the Island from the Mainland when she was stopped, assaulted, and “robbed” by the officers of the Lagos State Police Command.

According to her, it was 5am on October 20 and she was using Google Map to find her way around, but she was confused, so she had to stop by the side of the of road to properly check the map.

Shortly after, two vehicles – a Sienna and a yellow shuttle bus – blocked her. Men came down from both cars and began banging on her car door, screaming at her to come down and enter the Sienna. She said she thought they were kidnappers or robbers until she saw one of them in a police uniform.

She refused to come down from her car but allowed the one in a police uniform to enter her car. She said the other men also wanted to enter the back seat but she refused. She identified the officer in uniform as Sunday Osagie.

She then narrated how they told her to settle them with money because if they took her to the station, she would have to pay more.

She asked what her offence was but they couldn’t tell her anything. She added that because of how common it is for criminals to operate while wearing the military uniform, she was not completely comfortable around the men in mufti and the one in a police uniform.

She asked for their ID card to know they were really police officers but this angered them further. Scared for her safety, she said she brought out her phone and began livestreaming. This angered Sunday Osagie and he attacked her.

Snippets from the live video show the uniformed police officer getting aggressive with the skitmaker as he sat in her car while she filmed the incident. In the process, his phone fell down in her car and he began shouting at her to find his phone.

She explained that she eventually attracted the attention of commuters leaving for work early in the morning and they surrounded her car to find out what was going on.

She said this made the officers leave the scene in the cars they came with.

After the officers left, she noticed her purse with local and foreign currencies was missing. She also found that the police officer’s phone had fallen into her car and she retrieved it and reported to the Alapere Police Station, just opposite the location where the officers assaulted her

She said she showed them the injuries the police officer inflicted on her but the Alapere Police claimed the officers who attacked her were not from their division.

She returned to Facebook later to reveal that the uniformed police officer who assaulted and robbed her had been arrested.
